Mental health and inclusion at work
It’s widely recognised that one of the greatest challenges around mental health is the level of stigma which still persists in the UK around being able to talk openly about this topic. According to a recent survey by Mind, one in six of us have experienced poor mental health during our careers, but only half of those effected feel able to talk about it at work. So why is this important when it comes to considering an inclusive working environment?

Podcast: Celebrating Differences
I was lucky enough to be invited onto James Nathan's brilliant podcast, The Only One Business Show last week. We discussed topics such as unconscious bias, why hiring the "best" person for the job and having diverse recruitment are mutually exclusive, the difference between diversity and inclusion and much more.

Sex, Race and Robots
This audiobook by Dr Ayanna Howard is one of our absolute favourites: Reasons we love it:
1. It appeals to our inner tech nerd - it's all about AI and bias.
2. It's got a brilliant blend of the personal (Ayanna Howard was one of the first Black women roboticists in the USA) and the structural (so she shares all sorts of structural biases being hard-baked into new tech).
3. It's Audible y'all - so we get a double buzz from seeing this original work from a former client, and a chance to cheer at the fact that we know the commissioning editor!
