In today’s evolving workplace, supporting neurodivergent employees is not just a nice-to-have, it’s essential for building equitable, high-performing organisations. Inclusion can’t stop at awareness or box-ticking; it must be embedded into how we recruit, lead, support, and collaborate.
At A New Normal, we’ve helped organisations across sectors turn good intentions into impactful, sustainable action. Our work is grounded in lived experience, strategic insight, and a commitment to building psychologically safe, neuro-inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
What Do We Mean by Neurodivergent?
The term neurodivergent refers to people whose cognitive functioning differs from what is typically expected. This includes conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, and more.
Neurodivergent individuals often bring extraordinary strengths, from pattern recognition to creative problem-solving, and passion by the bucketload. They are also more likely than "neurotypicals" to encounter barriers in traditional workplace structures.
True inclusion means reducing those barriers, not asking neurodivergent people to conform.
Our Approach: Inclusion With Depth, Not Decoration
At A New Normal, we bring both professional expertise and personal insight to our work. Our team includes:
Experienced EDI consultants and facilitators
Parents of neurodivergent children
Team members currently navigating the diagnosis journey themselves
We work across industries—from global tech firms to youth charities and media companies—designing bespoke solutions that reflect each organisation’s unique culture and context.
We Don’t “Train” People to Be Inclusive
Instead, we focus on education, facilitation, and reflective practice.
We design learning experiences that are:
Tailored: Grounded in your organisation’s environment, goals and culture
Flexible: Designed to meet diverse learning needs and preferences
Emotionally safe: Built around trust, curiosity, and conversation
Our sessions are highly interactive, blending:
Real-world examples and breakout discussions
Reflection prompts and live polls
Video content and digital planning tools
And most importantly: no question is ever too silly. We create space for honesty, curiosity and growth.
Grounded in Inclusive Facilitation
Our Founder, Trish Driver, was a contributor to the Inclusive Facilitation Manifesto for Championing Neurodiversity, developed by a global community of neurodivergent and neuroinclusive facilitators.
The principles we use include:
Designing flexibly: One-size-fits-all doesn't work in education or inclusion
Invitation over assumption: We encourage, not force, participation
Emotional investment over just being present: We fully commit to each participant’s learning experience
Emergence and discovery over process: We balance structure with open discovery
These principles underpin our entire delivery style, and align directly with the needs of organisations seeking to support neurodivergent employees with intention and care.
Who We’ve Worked With
With over 40 years of combined experience, our team has supported clients across sectors, including:
